Estate Administration

Administration of estates is a complex area of law.

Whether your estate is small or large, the same amount of care and sensitivity to your family's needs is required at this most difficult time.

Estate administration does take some time to complete as there is a set process to be followed.  We can advise on the process, whether probate is required and the expected time to complete administration.

Where there is a Will, we can advise on the roles and obligations of the executor, trustee and beneficiary.  Where there is no Will, or the Will is defective, it may be necessary for an application to be made to the Court for an administrator to be appointed to administer the estate.  We can advise on this process and the rights and obligations of administrators and/or beneficiaries.

If the Will is challenged, we can provide comprehensive advice in this area also - see Estate Litigation section on our website.
